    Hi Guys

I would like to ask you a simple question - do you use adwords / yahoo search marketing / etc. and what is your outcome?
Is yahoo for you better or google rules the way?

This is only about pay-per-click method - not about blog or email marketing. Cheers!

Google without a doubt. You can get some reasonable traffic from Yahoo/Bing but you need Google if you're serious. Conversion rate is much the same.

You could try opening a new one with some slightly different details.. but do contact them first, they might reinstate as it has been a few years.

I'm using Google Adwords pay-per-click this season and here's what I've learned so far.

I've found that the cost per click averages much higher for keywords when I'm promoting a specific product or line of products (category). So if I'm promoting a single product, I pick the highest priced product that has the best sales price. When advertising a category I use /1/price-desc/30/ in the link on my ad so that it displays the highest priced products first.

From the All Campaigns page in Adwords I clicked on automate, create rule for keywords, pause keywords when, CPC > $1. Then I created a second rule to enable keywords when CPC < $1.

The cost per click can be reduced greatly if you promote a "content" page rather than a product page, if the content page is related to less costly keywords. I changed my Top Nav links on the site to content pages that have high cost keywords. This boosted my revenue from Adsense where I'm being paid an average of $0.56 CPC. I currently have two content pages that I'm paying $0.10 average CPC to drive traffic to the site.

    Hope this helps,
    Greg

I have analyzed a recent data from a indian e commerce site called myntra.com and flipkart.com they are using facebook to drive traffic to their sites as these sites are similar to our FSB stores i.e they are also ecommerce sites they are getting huge number of sales in the local and the international market , i had a chance to meet the managing director of myntra.com of the hyderabad branch she was telling that they are having a sales conv of 27 - 29% that is more than enough for our stores to get huge sales.

for every 100 visitors we wil be getting 20-30 sales thats great ......but that all depends on other factors as well....hehehhe.

so the point here is even facebook is also very good when compared to google adwords , as in facebook you can even buy the CPM Ads those are even good , i will try and test them these week and will post the results soon.
